It’s cold and all you want to do is hibernate under your duvet and watch Christmas movies.

Or maybe you’ve already decorated the tree and even gone caroling with friends. Either way, we think it’s time to get out of the house and go play some winter games!

Whether it’s a snowball fight, ice skating, or curling, we’ve got a few ideas for you.

1) Snowball fight

Are you and your friends or family a competitive bunch? Then it might be time for a friendly snowball fight! This winter game is sure to get hot, as you can throw as many snowballs at each other as you like. Just remember that everyone needs to play fair and no hitting with sticks, please!

If this sounds like something that could end up in an all-out war (and we’re okay with that), then the kids might like making their own snowballs and snowmen first. Or if there’s enough of a build-up, why not make some snow angels instead?

2) Ice skating

We know what you’re thinking: Ice skating is more of a summer activity… But hear us out on this one. There’s nothing better than gliding on ice – it might just be one of the best winter games.

You can even work up a sweat by walking to the nearest rink, where you’ll have some more winter games fun with your friends or family. Challenge each other to see who can skate the fastest laps around the rink! If you’re feeling brave, why not give it a try yourself? And promise us you won’t fall…

3) Curling

Another cold-weather sports classic is curling! It’s basically shuffleboard on ice – do we need to say more? No matter if this sounds like your idea of fun or not, everyone can join in and cheer on their teammates as they slide those rocks down the ice. Just make sure you know the rules before you play!

Even though curling might feel like more of a serious sport, it’s always best to keep things lighthearted. So why not make up some funny team names?

We’re sure all these winter games will give your family and friends hours of fun. And they’ll certainly be great memories made!

4) Make a snowman

As the old saying goes – if it’s snowing outside, make a snowman! There are few things more magical than seeing your own personal snowman in the backyard. Not only is this super cute, but even if you don’t have any friends to help out, you can still have fun making one yourself.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are just a few of our favorite characters:

  • – Olaf from Frozen
  • – Frosty the Snowman

Just use your imagination and see what ideas come to mind.

5) Go sledding

This one is pretty self-explanatory – go out and sled down some hills! If there are any hills nearby, bring the sleds out and have some winter games fun with your friends or family. Just make sure you have a safe area for everyone to play.

Even if you don’t have any sleds in your backyard, there are always ways to improvise – just get creative!

6) Have a snowball fight AND go sledding!

Now, this is what we call a good day at the park! You can go from one winter game to another in no time. Just imagine how much that would tire anyone out!

Winter isn’t all about staying indoors – it’s also great fun when you’re outside having adventures with your family and friends.

7) Build a snowman AND go sledding!

You’ve probably seen this one on every cartoon ever – there’s nothing better than building a snowman while going down a hill. Just make sure you have the winter clothes to keep you warm, and you’re all set for some great memories.

This is also great practice if you want to go ice skating or curling later – just remember not to stay out in the cold for too long! Or else… You know what happens after that!

8) Make a snow angel

This is a classic winter game that’s perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the snow without getting too cold. Just make sure there’s enough snow to make an angel!

All you need to do is lay down in the snow and spread your arms and legs out. Then, flutter your wings (or whatever else you might want to call them), and voila – you’re a snow angel!

9) Build a snow fort

If you’re looking for something more challenging (and even more fun), why not build a snow fort? This will definitely keep you busy for a few hours, so be prepared!

There are lots of ways to go about this, but basically, all you need is some snow, a shovel, and some friends to help. It’s always more fun when you can work together!

10) Have a hot cocoa party

This is the perfect way to end a day of winter games – gather your friends and family around the fireplace (or even better, in front of the TV) and enjoy some delicious hot cocoa. Just make sure you have enough cups and marshmallows!

We hope you enjoy all these winter games – they’re just a taste of all the fun that’s waiting for you. Bundle up and get outside!

Just be careful not to catch a cold, now! When going out into the cold, it’s important to dress appropriately.

Check the weather forecast before heading out. If it’s cold, wear layers – that way you can take them off if you get too hot!

Don’t forget your winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves, and boots! Remember to keep dressing in layers so you can take them off when needed.

Especially for kids – make sure they are dressed appropriately before going outside. They might not want to wear their winter clothes at first, but it’ll be very cold if they’re underdressed! Don’t let them play out in the snow without proper gear – there are lots of ways to stay warm while still having fun!

And remember to drink your hot chocolate, okay? You need to keep yourself hydrated!
